Step 1: We will contact you.

You will receive a confirmation mail from us. After that, one of our moving specialists will get in touch with you and provide you with an option for the viewing. This option must still be confirmed by email or phone.

Step 2: We will discuss your wishes during the (online) viewing

We will go over your moving requirements and discuss the various options available — from packing services and the (dis)assembly of furniture to arranging permits. Based on this conversation, we will prepare a tailored quote for you as soon as possible.

Step 3: Review and confirm the quote

You can now review the quote at your convenience and, if desired, compare it with other moving companies. Once you agree with the quote, you can confirm the move with us by phone or email. You will then receive a confirmation from us.

Step 4: Packing

If we are also packing and (dis)assembling your belongings, you won’t have to worry about the move any longer. We will come to your location and professionally pack everything for you.

If you prefer to do this yourself, we will provide you with a free moving guide to assist you with the packing.

Step 5: Moving day

Once everything has been packed, we will safely move your belongings. For smaller moves, packing and moving may take place on the same day. For regular moves, we usually schedule a dedicated packing day in advance.

On moving day, we won’t leave until everything is to your satisfaction.

Wij hebben ons op woensdag 24 juni 2026 laten verhuizen door Holland Movers. We kregen keurig van te voren een telefoontje dat ze met een kwartier zouden arriveren, precies op de afgesproken tijd. De verhuizers waren vriendelijk, hebben eerst samen het hele huis doorlopen en daarna was met 1 uur het hele huis leeg. Dit alles met temperaturen boven de 30 graden! We verhuisden binnen dezelfde stad van een eensgezinswoning naar een appartement op de 4e verdieping. Zoals afgesproken was er een lift meegekomen, waardoor alle spullen via lift en balkon naar binnen konden. Alles werd keurig op de aangegeven plek(ken) geplaatst. ook dit was met ongeveer een uur geregeld. De verhuizers waren vriendelijk, behulpzaam, goed op elkaar ingespeeld en snel. Alles werd zorgvuldig behandeld en in en uitgeladen. Had er niet aan moeten denken om dit zelf te doen. Dit was een hele verademing.

Wij zijn zeer tevreden over onze ervaring met Holland Movers. Onze verhuizing was voor ons bijzonder belangrijk en ook emotioneel: na 15 jaar in Den Haag moesten wij een groot deel van onze spullen inpakken, binnen Nederland naar Twente verplaatsen en daar opnieuw organiseren. Daar kwam bij dat we alles moesten plannen vanuit Rio, waar we momenteel wonen. Het zelfstandig organiseren van alles op zo'n grote afstand zou voor ons vrijwel onmogelijk zijn geweest zonder de geweldige hulp van Holland Movers. Vanaf het eerste contact hebben zij ons uitstekend geholpen om alles op afstand goed te plannen en te organiseren. Op 17 juni kwamen Lars en Jakeb om te helpen met het inpakken van de spullen die wij in al die jaren hadden verzameld. Beiden waren bijzonder sterk, energiek, behulpzaam en zeer beleefd. Zij werkten zorgvuldig, dachten mee waar nodig en zorgden ervoor dat alles goed voorbereid was voor de verhuizing. Op 18 juni kwamen ook Dawda en Thomas erbij. Het hele team werkte zeer professioneel, ging respectvol om met onze spullen en vormde samen een uitstekende ploeg. Iedereen droeg op zijn eigen manier bij aan een vlotte en goed georganiseerde verhuizing. Dankzij hun inzet verliep zowel het laden, vervoeren als het uitladen van onze bezittingen soepel en zorgvuldig. Bij aankomst in Twente werd alles netjes uitgeladen en op de juiste plek gezet. Ook de meubels werden waar nodig weer vakkundig gemonteerd. Dankzij het team verliep de hele verhuizing efficiënt en zonder zorgen. Wat wij vooral waardeerden, was de prettige sfeer tijdens de hele verhuizing. Iedereen was vriendelijk, rustig, respectvol, sterk en bereid om mee te denken. Het was mooi om te zien hoe deze jonge mannen niet alleen hard werkten, maar ook steeds beleefd, positief en professioneel bleven. Daardoor werd de stress van deze grote verhuizing echt aanzienlijk verminderd. Wij willen Holland Movers, en in het bijzonder Lars, Jakeb, Thomas en Dawda, hartelijk bedanken voor hun professionele inzet, zorgvuldigheid en positieve houding. Ieder van hen heeft op zijn eigen manier bijgedragen om dit plan werkelijkheid te maken. Wij kunnen Holland Movers van harte aanbevelen.

Our move with Holland Movers was a genuinely pleasant experience. Moving house can be stressful, with lots of small details to keep in mind. The team was professional, friendly and happy to answer the questions we had. Op korte termijn een verhuizing kunnen regelen voor een scherper tarief dan een aantal andere bedrijven in Amsterdam. Wij zijn geholpen door Koen en Rodrigo die zo vriendelijk waren meer mee te nemen dan wij bedacht hadden wat uiteindelijk ons veel werk heeft gescheeld. Wij zou ze zeker aanraden.

Great experience moving from Amsterdam to Woerden. We had two movers and a handyman working on our move - Valentyn, Koen and Daryl. They were a great team - truly worked like one. We arrived on time, all the furniture was delivered to the exact places we wanted, no matter the steep stairs. Highly recommend!

Is my households contents insured during the move?

Yes, your belongings are insured during the move up to €2.500.000, with no deductible. The insurance is included as part of our excellent service. 

When will I receive my quote?

After the viewing has taken place, your personal  moving advisor will get to work immediately. In most cases, you will receive your quote the very same day. 

How can I accept the quote?

You can accept the quote by replying to our offer via email or by calling us. A signature is not required.

Are there any additional costs for a move during the weekend?

No, unlike other moving companies, we never charge extra for moves during weekends or public holidays. This is part of our excellent service.

How do I get moving boxes and other packing materials?

For full-service moves, we provide all necessary packing materials — you won’t need to arrange anything yourself.

If you’ve chosen to pack your belongings yourself, you can order moving boxes and other packing supplies through our webshop. We deliver throughout the Netherlands.

How do I pay for my move?

Payment must be made by debit card (PIN) at the end of each moving day. You will receive the invoice on the Tuesday following your move. For business moves, payment by invoice is only possible upon prior agreement.

When should I start packing

For full-service moves, we will come the day before your move to pack everything and prepare your belongings for safe transport.

If you have chosen to pack your belongings yourself, it is a good idea to start as early as possible. Packing can often take much more time than expected. In general, we recommend beginning about 4–6 weeks before your moving date. This will give you ample time to pack and label everything carefully, and ensure that nothing is forgotten.

Start by packing items you don’t use frequently, such as seasonal clothing, extra bedding, and kitchenware you don’t use daily. Clearly label all boxes with their contents and the room they belong to. This will make unpacking and setting up your new home much easier.

You will receive a free moving guide from us to assist you throughout the process.

Do I need to disassemble my furniture before moving?

For full-service moves or moves that include a handyman, we take care of the disassembly and reassembly of large furniture — simple and convenient.

If you choose to handle this yourself, we recommend disassembling large or difficult-to-move furniture. Some items may be damaged during transport if they are not disassembled properly.

Here are a few tips for disassembling your furniture:

  • Remove all loose items: Before starting, make sure to remove any loose items such as cushions, blankets, etc.

  • Label the parts: Mark all components so you know which pieces belong together. You can use labels or numbered tape.

  • Take photos: Take pictures of your furniture before disassembling. These can be helpful when putting things back together.

  • Use the right tools: Make sure you have the correct tools on hand, such as a screwdriver, hammer, or wrench.

  • Keep screws and bolts safe: Store all screws, bolts, and other small parts in a secure container to avoid losing them.

  • Label your packaging: Clearly label the boxes containing disassembled parts so you know what belongs where.

If you’re unsure about disassembling your furniture, consider hiring a professional handyman or opting for a full-service move. Our professionals have the tools and experience to disassemble and reassemble your furniture safely and efficiently.

How can I best protect my belongings during the move?

With a full-service move, you won’t have to worry about this — we take care of protecting your belongings against scratches and impact damage. Ensuring your items are well protected during the move is crucial to making sure they arrive safely at their new location.

If you prefer to handle this yourself, here are some tips to help you protect your belongings during the move:

  • Use proper packing materials: Pack your items in sturdy boxes and wrap fragile items in bubble wrap. These materials are available through our webshop. In addition, we always use moving blankets to protect your furniture.

  • Use pillows and blankets: For extra protection of fragile items such as glassware, dishes, and electronics, use pillows and blankets. Wrap them in a thick blanket and place them flat in the box to prevent shifting.

  • Watch the weight of the boxes: Avoid overloading boxes to prevent them from tearing or breaking during the move. Our moving boxes are extra strong and much more reliable than the standard options sold at hardware stores.

By following these tips, you can help ensure that your belongings arrive safely and undamaged at your new home — with our help or on your own.

How many moving boxes do I need?

The number of moving boxes you need depends on how many belongings you plan to move and the size of the boxes you use. It’s always better to have more boxes than you think you’ll need to avoid running out during the packing process. Here are some guidelines to help you estimate how many boxes you may require:

  • Estimate the number of boxes per room: A good rule of thumb is to use about 10 to 15 boxes per room. However, this depends on the size of the room and the amount of items it contains. You’ll likely need more boxes for the kitchen due to dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Bedrooms often require fewer boxes, as there are typically fewer items to pack.

  • Don’t forget the extras: Be sure to order additional boxes for specific items such as books, dishes, and electronics. These are often heavy and should be packed in smaller boxes to avoid excessive weight. You may also need extra boxes for clothing, bedding, and other bulky but lightweight items.

In general, it’s better to have too many boxes than too few. The last thing you want is to have to stop packing because you’ve run out. If in doubt, it’s best to order more boxes than you think you’ll need. You can easily order boxes through our website.
